Ireland's unemployment rate rose to 4.8% in October from 4.7% in September, the Central Statistics Office reported on Wednesday. The September rate was revised down from an initial reading of 5.0%.
The revisions mean Ireland's unemployment rate has stayed below 5% for seven consecutive months. Since November 2021, the jobless rate has ranged between 4.1% and 5.1%. The 4.1% low is near a record for the country.
