Anthropic reported $17 billion in revenue for the third quarter of 2026 in an amended Form S-1 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday. The filing, which the company said updates its financials, covers the quarter ended Sept. 30.
Anthropic said it generated $33.24 billion in revenue for the nine months ended Sept. 30, up roughly 1,200% from the same period last year. It reported a net loss of $104 billion for that period. The company said most of that loss came from changes in the fair value of convertible notes and derivative liabilities. Anthropic lost $25.1 billion over the same stretch in 2025.
Third-quarter revenue rose about 47% from the year before, according to the filing. That is a slower pace than the 144% growth in the second quarter and 132% in the first. The company reported a net loss of $23.29 billion for the quarter.
Anthropic said it has entered into purchase commitments and lease agreements with an aggregate committed spend of about $895.4 billion. The filing says "substantially all of which is related to compute and infrastructure." Its compute and infrastructure expenses rose $14.4 billion in the nine-month period, up 329%.
The filing also includes more than 90 pages of risk factors. Anthropic's co-founders wrote that they "consider it our personal responsibility to help the world understand these risks."
